Co-founder of 1720 Records and member of Amnesis and The Dawn And My Appeal.
John is a student at UNT about to begin his graduate work in linguistics. He plays piano,
drums and guitar and produces all the records for The Dawn And My Appeal. His
previous bands include Human Groove Hormone, Sleep All Day and session drumming
for Baron Heckler (Mythologize and Apologize). His current work includes the self-
titled debut The Dawn And My Appeal LP, a soundtrack for an upcoming feature length
documentary with Mason Macias and the forthcoming Amnesis album, Leaning From The
Steep Slope.

Aaron Goekler

Leader of the band Baron Heckler, co-founder of 1720 Records and UNT graduate.
Joining Amnesis in the fall of 2010, Aaron recorded bass on a session of theirs that ended
up being scrapped, later recording on their releases, Her Eyes a Mirror and The Pier.
His primary band released the album Mythologize and Aplologize in January of 2011 and
he has almost completed the follow-up, The Spoils of Were. Outside of songwriting,
playing bass and guitar, he works on translating Latin-American literature. You can

Mason Macias

Starting the band Amnesis with John Guest in summer 2010, Mason had already been
a permanent and dedicated member of the San Antonio math-rock outfit, Daytes.
He operates as a producer and engineer for 1720 Records when he is not heavily booked
with Daytes, recording with Amnesis, or going to school. Mason is a music major at
UTSA about to finish his degree and pursue his music career full time. He has recorded
on thirteen albums with artists including Daytes, Amnesis, We Leave At Midnight,
Marcus Rubio and The Gospel Choir of Pillows, Druggist and Ill Prospekt. He is
currently working on the next Daytes and Amnesis releases.

Mario Salazar

Mario Salazar is 1720 Record's chief engineer, producing songs for Amnesis, Baron
Heckler, and Sleep All Day. He mastered the Amnesis collection of EPs, Her Eyes A
Mirror, Memory Machine and The Pier. He is the member of the San Antonio super-
group, River City All Stars, a popular ska group. He records outside of 1720 Records
under the moniker Red House. With 1720 Records, he records bands by traveling to the
location, then mixing and mastering the music in his home studio. He studies Radio, TV
and Broadcasting in San Antonio, TX.
